  • Developed computer software and hardware to analysis electro-magnetic signals produced by the human brain, since 1983.
  • Uncovered important relationships between "native" brain states of conscious awareness and how the brain perceives and processes internally and externally produced stimuli, 1984 - 1991.
  • Developed software and computer algorithms to analyze damage to the brain and to assess brain development from magnetic resonance scans (MRI), 1990 - present (patent awarded 1995).
  • Directorship of the Neurosignal Analysis Laboratory (NAL), 1990 - present.
  • Co-developer of a new scientific discipline known as Computational Biomedicine (CBM), 1999.
  • Continuous brain research funding from the National Institutes of Health since 1989.

    • Study of pediatric hydrocephalus using MRI, 1989 - 1995.
