Insights into the New Energy

Re: The Quantum Leap Series, Shoud 1 given by Tobias through Geoffrey Hoppe, August 4th, 2007
Dear Friends,
Welcome to the Quantum Leap Series and, more to the point, welcome to the post Quantum Leap Era.
This may be somewhat like being greeted with the word Shalom. This word can be
translated with a pair
of seeming opposites: hello and goodbye. How can the same word have simultaneously almost
totally
opposite meanings? Perhaps because it also means "Peace." Peace is a balancing "force" that is capable
of bringing a greeting and a saying goodbye together full circle through Shalem - wholeness.
By a similar token, saying "welcome to the post QL era" may be like saying welcome to heaven AND
hell at once - and to the transition or "twilight" zone that connects them.
I am presently moving backward as well as forward through time as I write this article.
It is now May, 2008 in our linear-circular time. We have transitioned past the Quantum Leap itself.
We have moved to our next evolutionary step as soul-beings becoming Yoham - homo luminous, the Divine Human.
Yet, since 9/18/2007 we have been playing "catchup" with ourselves in a sense. When the "old energy train"
entered the station, we disembarked from it and chose to board the new energy train we have been in a
period that is akin to a grieving process - one of "rectifying" our former lives - of coming to terms
with it as we continue to live in the 4 dimensional reality even though we have traveled inter-dimensionally
beyond 4D.
Thus we have been going through an integrative process - one in which we are simultaneously
unfolding (expanding) beyond 4D while enfolding {greater than 4D} reality into less than 5D reality.
This is a bold, audacious, pioneering process and project we are undertaking here. Many of us feel so
strung out in our physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual essences that it is often just difficult
for us to keep pace with our everyday lives, let alone just get out of bed and face some days. This
is natural if not consternating. It is all part of a truly glorious and exciting process of
consciousness expansion.
That we are actually looking back is prescient in my view. There are further transitions yet ahead of us.
In particular, we have entered into a five year "get to know yourself" period as we move toward the winter
solstice of December 21, 2012 - the end of the current Long Count in the Mayan calendar - a 26,000 year
cycle - and the beginning of the next major evolutionary leap of Yoham. I will be addressing the deep
significance of this future transition along with that of the current period as we move toward it now.
For Shaumbra, this period is one of preparation for that time with the QL as an initiation into it.
It is almost like when bride and groom walk through the doors and slowly down the aisle prior to the
beginning of their wedding ceremony.
Let's explore our biology just a bit here as it will help as to "see" the bigger picture of who we are now.
Our bodies are composed of literally trillions of cells. Moving downward in size-scale, each cell is composed
of numerous organelles, organic molecules, the molecules composed of atoms, the atoms composed of
neutrons, protons, electrons, those atomic particles composed of quarks, eventually down to the objects
physicists refer to as strings (no telling if more fundamental entities will be uncovered by the
quantum physicists in time).
Moving from the single cell level to larger size scale, we encounter the tissue level, the organ level,
the organ system level (e.g., the cardiovascular system) and eventually to the level of the whole person.
We know intuitively that at each level a set of factors and phenomenon occur there, each with their own
unique attributes in terms of how "things work" at that level. We also realize that what distinguishes
two adjacent levels does not give rise to a "hard" boundary separating the levels, otherwise information
and energy cannot be communicated and exchanged respectively across such an impermeable boundary.
Instead we might consider the boundary to be semi-permeable or fuzzy. It might even be selective allowing
some substances or energies to cross over from one side to the other (sounds a little like the veil, doesn't it?).
With respect to these various size-scale levels, their similarities, differences and overlapping characteristics,
the "whole person" level appears to be unique - different indeed from any particular one of these levels.
Here, it is clear that the way the system operates is more than the summation of functional behaviors at
the various levels including the parts "list" across all the levels. This whole level does not operate
in a linear reductionistic manner. So what else is there? Clearly at this level humans manifest all
sorts of seemingly illogical behaviors as well as creativity of all sorts. There may even be behaviors that
appear completely different or independent of what scientists currently understand about how biology works.
One thing we can easily see in regards to human biology is that the trillions of cells that comprise a body form
a highly interconnected network. A network is a single entity composed of many other entities within it. Certain
types of networks that we observe in our natural surroundings have almost a mysterious quality about them:
they function in a unified way - almost as if they have a mind of their own! What happens is that the actual
interconnections (which are also in fact communication channels between the parts of the system), actually
manifest new "objects" referred to as patterns - much like the patterns on a weaved blanket made of many
different colored threads. The patterns of signals traversing the many channels, dynamically changing in
time, reflect purposive interactions within the system among the many parts and levels as opposed to random,
not-very-meaningful ones ("accidents").
A good example of this is what some scientists refer to as swarm behavior. We're all familiar with a few rather
dramatic examples of this: flocks of birds that can be seen flying in one general direction when they all
together very rapidly shift their flight direction. Similar examples are schools of fish, and insect swarms
of all kinds. Related examples on the human side are a large crowd at a stadium all of a sudden cheering their
town's sports hero, or a crowd that suddenly rampages into a riot. We can imagine in each one of these
examples how information is "broadcast" to the whole group simultaneously rather than being transmitted from
one entity to the next over and over in a serial fashion. Clearly an overall energy is available at once to
the entities in the system - and we know energy transmits and communicates information. The entire system
processes this information in a single instant. In doing so the individual entities of the system cease to
be independent. Rather, they are interdependent and from this new properties of the integrated system appear
to "emerge" out of thin air, seemingly as if by magic. It appears that the entire system acts as if it had a
singular mind of its own.
To the scientist who studies such systems, this is no longer viewed as any sort of magic trick. Rather, it
represents a relatively recent (last 50 years or so) paradigm shattering revolution in thinking about such
systems - systems that behave non-linearly, holistically and dynamically (the latter term meaning they are
malleable, adaptable and capable of changing their behavior "on the fly"). Yet although scientists can now
"label" such systems, their descriptions in no way represent constraints upon such systems. The labels are
non-defining ones - sans definition! Let's take for example an object such as a chair. We all know what
a chair does - what its purpose is. It does not have unlimited functions or uses. One can jot them down on
a short piece of paper. But in regards to a human, there is no set of words or even thoughts that can
"constrain" what a human is in any general sense. No finite number of words, expressions or thoughts
can "define" a human. As we discussed in previous articles, this is part and parcel of
the essence of
humanity's newly evolved state as Yoham.
Clearly these concepts of networked systems consisting of many active parts are not restricted to the
level of individual humans ("swarm" behavior can also apply to groups of humans). Communities and
societies follow these same nonlinear dynamical holistic behaviors and principles in general,
while a plethora of different societies demonstrate variation in these behaviors on a par with
the unique attributes across individual humans.
Species of animals and vegetation on our planet are subject to these general principles as well
and extending beyond earthly bounds, they apply to the sun and the planets that make up our solar
system, to our galaxy, to this universe, and to the omniverse as a whole. This is now all
abundantly clear these days, particularly in regards to our present scientific understandings.
Yet at the same time it still represents a conundrum for science and will "force" it to expand
in heretofore uncharacteristic ways as it intersects with perennial spiritual principles
well-understand by our ancient wisdom masters and our present-day spiritual teachers.
These principles then must, of necessity. extend beyond physicality completely to the "etherium."
They apply equally to the "software" - the levels of information, energy and consciousness.
All these concepts arise from considerations of Oneness, yet Oneness, with respect to creation
is far more than the number one. Oneness is boundless, infinite, inclusive of all duality and diversity
while neither dissolving nor eliminating it. Tobias discussed this also in terms of the next topic.
Most of us have our own ideas and beliefs about the nature of multifaceted reality, and our own
multiply-aspected natures. From many of the shouds over the past year we have come to a greater
recognition of these many aspects and we've challenged ourselves to recognize how we've let many
of them, prior to the Quantum Leap, to "throw us" out of balance. When we find ourselves reacting
to events and circumstances in our everyday lives in an "overblown" manner we are allowing
ourselves to be like a ship that is taking on water from below and listing. We are choosing,
usually by default, to cede responsibility for ourselves to the illusory notion that the
circumstances we find ourselves in are outside of our purview-control.
But when we proactively move our consciousness to a place beyond judgmental notions of what constitutes
good and bad, darkness and light, death and life, we begin to recognize this place of infinite unity,
the place of unlimited potential, creativity and the opportunity for endless expansion, growth and
development. When we do so, the boundaries which we have unwittingly imposed around our various
aspects become more permeable - automatically strengthening their connectedness thus enhancing a
process of coalescing into a harmonious whole. That is because the "You" - the divine human who is
one with the divine multitude - Yoham - is taking responsibility for this whole.
This is precisely what happens when one finds themselves in a holistic state of health - the You
consciousness recognizes its role as "Chairperson of the Board" of "Me, Inc." Compassion and
lovingkindness from the center, the heart, is "broadcast" to all one's physical parts - the cells,
to the Higher Self, to the Oversoul Self, and beyond to the undifferentiated unity of Ein Soph -
boundlessness. The latter notion is well beyond the capacity of mind to fathom.
It must be accessed from the totality of you - that is from the consciousness that
is the womb of all that IS.
Within the Kabbalistic framework there are five levels of the soul. Each level overlaps slightly with
the ones next to it. "Higher", lighter levels subsume all the levels "below" it. Lower levels do not
subsume higher ones, they just partially overlap with the next level up. Yet at the same "time"
the "ladder" of soul levels is ascended from "earth" (physicality) to "heaven" (Spirit) and it is
descended from Spirit to physical 4D reality. This is what is happening when the patriarch Jacob
laid his head down on a rock at Beth El (the House of Spirit) falls asleep, and dreams
about the ladder that reaches from earth to heaven with the angels simultaneously ascending and
descending it.
It is an example of the heuristic "as above, so below" which is also one of
the significances of the Solomonic Seal (Star of David). From the Kabbalistic perspective the
five Levels of Soul are synonymous with levels of consciousness that are existent throughout
all of creation - and beyond. All consciousness emanates from Spirit via the light of creation (Ein Soph Ohr).
The five levels of soul in order, descending from "Spirit's mansion" to created reality are called in Hebrew:
We will briefly describe them in reverse order here (from the level of physical creation to the level of Oneness):
The observation of the four fundamental physical forces derive from this level - gravitation,
electromagnetics, the strong and weak nuclear forces. On the human level, movement as in yoga,
tai chai, sports, and dancing are connected with this level. It is generally understood that the
plants and the animals have this basic "consciousness" which includes instinctual behavior in its repertoire.
It is said that the prophets and the masters attained the highest level of Ruach, called Ruach HaKodesh
- the Holy Spirit. This is a level in which we become fully cognizant of our essence as Yoham -
we recognize where we've come from, where we are now (hineni - I AM Here), and where we are headed
(I will be who I will be).
The level of Yechidah then is said to represent the very tip of the yud in the 4 letter Name,
pointing to the boundlessness and ever-expanding unification of Ehyeh Asher Ehyeh - "I AM that I AM; I AM that I will be."
Yechidah is like a spark that starts a fire. It is the innate part of us that is ever connected and
one with Spirit. It is our God-essence, our Divine spark. It is the complete, undifferentiated sense, in
every sense, of "you are God also!"
These levels of soul are only distinct when we traverse them in the direction of the ascension pathway
from nefesh to Yechidah - the level of total, complete, boundless oneness. They are distinct
in this direction as a "higher" soul level is not included in a "lower" one. On the other hand the levels
are not distinct even in this direction as adjacent levels blend into one another - thus there is a certain
degree of overlap among them.
Now let's imagine for a moment traversing a path from the "highest" soul level (Yechidah) to
the "lowest" (Nefesh). We realize at once that the level of total unity is that level which
naturally includes within it any and all levels of soul and indeed of worlds. It is the level in
which every diverse thing in creation is connected into a whole - a whole in which, paradoxically
all distinctions are preserved through the magnificent System in Creation - which is like a glue
that binds them all.
So what is the soul then? It is that unified pathway - the bridge connecting heaven and earth. One that
we may traverse bidirectionally just as the angels simultaneously ascended and descended the ladder in Jacob's
dreamvision.
From this description of the various levels of soul, we begin to see more clearly how
what I refer to as Kabbalah Consciousness "marinades" all of creation - every particle,
every atom, every quark and string. All is One and One is All (Alexander Dumas had it
right ;-)). For a long period of human existence to this present time, humans have
been operating evolutionarily for the most part in a "bottom up" direction - of human
evolution and spiritual ascension. One could argue this was appropriate and fully
necessary. This is the path of growth-development and of return to Source. And now
we find ourselves in a place beyond the Quantum Leap.
I believe that one of the
implications of this for us is that we are now in a time where we can now recognize
and remember that we are truly at the highest level - the level of Yichud. We
never really left "home." Home has always been part of us, within us, we only bought
into a delusion (that we ourselves created) that we were separated from our Source,
that we were less than we really and truly are, that we were something other than
God also. There is no other! Thus in this post QL time - the "gig is up" - we may
now awaken from this delusion.
What this means is that when we recognize that all we need do is make a choice to be
that which we are - Yoham - the divine multitudinous human, then it will follow that A
ll that Is, simply is made manifest. The hero's journey is complete, the perfection
of creation speaks for itself, nothing must be done and we need not grasp for any thing.
All the abundance of creation deriving from nothingness is fully available to us in the
here and now. And the great thing is - we do not have to DO anything for it!
Believe it, embrace it, for it is so.
In this column I have discussed aspects of The Light many times. In Kabbalah we
recognize that The Light (Ein Soph Ohr) emanates from Spirit (Ein Soph)
and is embued with the essence of life itself and with the boundless lovingkindness
of Spirit. So it is interesting that Tobias started off the Quantum Leap Series by
bringing in Lucifer - at once the Light bearer and the fallen angel. How could
these two opposite appearing monikers apply to a single entity? The only way to
rectify these is to choose to go beyond dualism to the realm of unity. From the
unified perspective the "aha" about this is present for all to see.
From the Kabbalistic perspective, Lucifer, also referred to as The Satan, is a blessed
angel of Spirit - a full partner in all of creation. The Hebrew word Satan has
its roots in the translation "the challenger." And here emerges the concept that life
could not exist as we experience it without challenges. Life would not be what it is
without them. What is a challenge? It is an opposing force that impels/fuels the growth
of an entity. Why? Because life has the natural characteristic of expansiveness,
and this expansion occurs through the integration of opposites that occurs at a
metalevel with respect to the level of dualism and diversity (the omniverse).
Let's take two simple examples - one from human physiology. The growth of muscles is
known to be impelled by what appears to be a contradiction: actual tearing of the
muscle fibers themselves. To build muscle, one must challenge them by actually tearing
the fibers through weight-bearing exercises. This in turn, presents a stressor (thus
a challenge) to the body that causes it to respond by actually attempting to over-repair
the tissue in an effort to compensate for the damage. As a result the muscle expands
and bulks up.
Another example comes from sports - let's take tennis for example. By far the optimal way
for a tennis player to improve her game is by actually playing against those who are more
skilled in the game than she is - even while this is not a guarantee that she will
improve her game by doing so. Clearly it is difficult to improve one's tennis game
by avoiding superior competition.
I hear some thinking "well life is not a sport, so why do we have to go through these
sorts of challenges?" Some of you may be thinking this is a punishment model of
life - why does life have to have such challenges and obstacles that are nothing but
a nuisance to my achieving success in life. To answer these questions there are two
main considerations: 1) understanding the true nature of "challenge", and 2) attitude.
Understanding and working with the nature of challenge brings us back to "The Light
Bearer." If you recall a few years ago Tobias reminded us that "our darkness is our
divinity." From a unified perspective darkness and light are truly one. In the
created omniverse they become separated into opposites, yet their true underlying
relationship is as "flipside of the same coin." It is really critical for our life
here on earth as Yoham to understand how darkness is essentially just a form of
Light reversed. Depending on one's choices, darkness is itself a potential that can
be utilized by us to actually fuel our process of growth and evolvement with and
into The Light.
During the Holocaust in the concentration camps, the Nazis delighted in feeding prisoners
with bread that was stale and moldy. The moldier the better from their perspective
of course - the more to poison the inmates, or so the SS believed. Of course the mold
was mostly composed of penicillin spores, so instead of causing further injury/disease
to the inmates, the Nazis were unknowingly administering an antibiotic which had the
effect of combating the rampant typhus and other diseases in the camps thus in many
cases keeping the inmates from contracting them, prolonging their lives.
We know for example that many vaccines developed to eliminate a virus from the body
work by presenting a challenge to the body's immune system. In many instances the
vaccine contains some component of the virus itself, or an analogue of the human
virus that infects an animal (for example cowpox was used initially in the vaccine
developed by Edward Jenner against the human smallpox virus). In this way the immune
system is challenged causing specific antibodies to be mobilized to attack the virus
particles.
Clearly, our life challenges serve a purpose of "pushing the envelope", of stretching
or expanding creation beyond its present limits. This indeed is one of the essential
characteristics of the System - to go beyond itself, to move from present potentiality
to an actuality that is expanded beyond its immediate preceding state of being in a
direction toward the infiniteness that is a hallmark of divine reality.
This takes us back to Lucifer - the primary archetype of the challenger. The one who
challenged Spirit by attempting to expand beyond It (which was/is not possible). What
purpose did this serve? Clearly it served Spirit's design of creation because creation
calls for it naturally to be challenged in order for it to expand and grow toward the
infinite-divine. Thus, as is stressed in Kabbalah, Lucifer, Satan is a blessed agent
of Spirit who stepped forward and took on the assignment of teaching humanity about
the principle of chutzpah - audacity - as this is a fundamental and essential "force"
of omniversal creation. Creation is expansive and what fuels expansion is challenge,
competition and opposition. The only way that a student can become a teacher is to
never blindly accept what the teacher offers up. The student must question and
challenge, not out of ego, but out of a love for all of creation and a love of Spirit.
We are all familiar with people who do not fit comfortably into human society. They are
the so-called naysayers, the nonconformists, radicals or revolutionaries. While they
are clearly IN the world they tend to have a degree of estrangement from the ebb and
flow of 4D human life. Others are compelled to tear down edifices so as to
(intentionally or not) make room for the natural expansion of creation. Many
just don't seem to negotiate the ups and downs of life well and fail to thrive on the
earthly plane - they suffer a fall just as Lucifer did. Kabbalah recognizes that
often, one's tendency to fall is in direct proportion to the spiritual "heights" they
achieve. The more Light that is integrated within one in this world, the more "at risk"
they are of being "injured" in a fall that also has a higher probability of occurrence.
Does this mean that those who continually strive to experience and integrate within
themselves more and more Light are doomed to a life of despair? Not necessarily. When
we recognize the predominant truth about our identity - that we are God also, then
we will naturally increase our capacity to channel Light through ourselves and into
this world of form that we inhabit.
So the great fall of Lucifer may be recognized as a sacrifice for Divinity and humanity -
an opportunity to see the potential for rising up to even greater, ecstatic heights
that becomes possible by it.
I leave you with the following quote:
"Faith is the greatness and the perfection of the Infinite."
What we can achieve, perceive, and understand is only a fraction of the reality of the
perfection of the Infinite. Anything we can say about aspects or characteristics of
God are merely a drop in the proverbial bucket - a small spark of the soul connected
with the Divine Presence.
Thank you for the present of your presence.
